Description
Doing the dishes is a necessity for most of us, pots, pans and cutlery all need to be cleaned but conventional dish brushes are usually made of plastic and take centuries to break down. Even the sponges contain plastic and are neither recyclable nor biodegradable. When doing the dishes, the sponges and brushes leak microplastic into the sewage system, leading to environmental damage, including plastic pollution.
So these beauties with a coconut fibre brush that will make short work of any baked-on nastiness are an abolute boon - they're tough, environmentally sensible and attractive to boot. When you've finally worn it out (mine is still looking this good 6 months after taking it home and using it daily) you can either compost it or use it as kindling. As as aside, I'm loving the full use of the coconut, we're all using the oil so much now it's so important that we find ways to make use of the rest of the nut too, so this is a neat solution.
